Corps to host Hensley Lake Master Plan public meeting

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District will hold a public meeting July 20 to seek public input on proposed changes to the Hensley Lake, Hidden Dam Master Plan.

The master plan, which guides the management of natural and cultural resources and development of recreation-related facilities in and around the Corps-managed reservoir near Madera, was last updated in 1968. 

Anyone interested in helping guide the proposed plan can submit responses to the questionnaire until August 28, 2017, to paul.j.bruton@usace.army.mil or during the July 20 public meeting. The questionnaire can be found on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hensley Lake park page, http://www.spk.usace.army.mil/Locations/Sacramento-District-Parks/Hensley-Lake/

The public meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Department of Social Services, 700 East Yosemite Ave. in Madera. The meeting will be conducted in an open house format.

An agency-focused meeting will be held at the same location during the morning of July 20, from 10 a.m. to noon.
