SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a $10 million small business contract March 14 to Doyon Project Services, LLC of Federal Way, Washington.

Project will make repairs to roofing on 6 of 8 bays atop a 462,400 Sq. Ft. warehouse at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

"The project meets Defense Logistics Agency sustainability requirements for building envelopes through the installation of the new roofing system for Building 845. Specifically, this project will replace an area equal to approximately 11 football fields of aging roof surface with a new modified bitumen membrane and associated features." said Dan Killip, project manager with the Sacramento District.

Construction is scheduled to begin April 3, and is expected to be completed in spring 2018.

The Corps partners with military installations to deliver energy efficient infrastructure and to maintain enduring installations, primarily through restoring and modernizing existing installation facilities.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District provides planning, engineering, project management, environmental restoration and construction services to military and civilian customers in parts of eight western states, including California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming.
