Black Butte Lake announces group campground fee increase

Published Feb. 27, 2017

Beginning March 1, 2017, group camping fees at Black Butte Lake will increase. Buckhorn and Orland Buttes group campgrounds are managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

The USACE Sacramento District conducted a review of its fee structure in 2016 and determined that fee changes are needed to ensure USACE fees remain comparable and fair to those charged by other local providers for similar facilities and services.

Beginning March 1, group camping fees will be as follows:

  • Buckhorn Group Campground:  $200 per night

  • Orland Buttes Group Campground:  $130 per night

Individual campground fees and day-use fees will remain the same and are as follows:

  • Buckhorn Campground:  $18-$20 per night

  • Orland Buttes Campground:  $20 per night

  • Day-use fee:  $5 per private non-commercial vehicle

Buckhorn and Orland Buttes Group Campgrounds open for the season April 1, 2017.
