Once it is made operational, campers will see -- but barely hear -- this wind turbine at Black Butte Lake, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District park near Orland, Calif. Final assembly of the wind turbine took place March 13, 2013 and is expected to go online within 30 days. The turbine can generate 11 kilowatts of energy and will help supply campers’ power needs.
