Fifteen USACE Sacramento District employees completed the training Feb. 7-9, at the district’s Folsom Resident Office, just east of Sacramento. Following the 24 hours of instruction and demonstrations, the students, most of whom are construction representatives at USACE project sites across California and Utah, became qualified to provide vital fall protection guidance and oversight for hundreds of workers, helping save lives and avoiding injuries. The contractor placed the final wall section of the Labyrinth Weir and this marks the substantial completion of the Phase II project dam safety risk reduction measures.
The draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIS) for the Delta Conveyance project is available for public review and comment. This notice is to inform interested parties of the availability of the document and to solicit comments on the project.
The project will widen the existing 1,950-foot weir an additional 1,500 feet and channel floodwaters away from people and property during severe flood events.
Check out our progress on the VA Stockton Community Based Outpatient Clinic! Construction began in 2019 on this facility to provide support for NorCal veterans and it’s on schedule for completion next year.
