Ms. Eller joined the Sacramento District as the Deputy District Engineer in October of 2013. She serves as the senior ranking civilian official in an organization of 900 engineers, scientists and support staff working in all or parts of eight western states. The Sacramento District is responsible for military design and construction, civil works, international and interagency support, real estate services to the Army and Air Force, regulatory work, environmental services, and emergency management. The District is one of the largest in the Corps, responsible for more than 2 million acres and 300,000 miles of waterways, with an annual budget of over $500 million.
Ms. Eller previously served in the USACE Headquarters, Washington, DC as the Deputy of the Programs Integration Division of Civil Works which is responsible for developing, defending, and executing the Civil Works Program as well as providing management and oversight for the Programs and Project Management Community of Practice and the Project Management Business Process. Ms. Eller also served in the Headquarters' Strategy and Integration Office as the Strategic Relations and Evaluation Branch Chief. In that position, she was responsible for leading teams that implement the USACE Campaign Plan, developing strategic plans for major programs, and evaluating proposed actions and policies from the Department of Defense, Department of the Army and Office of Personnel Management.
Ms. Eller has 26 years of experience with the Corps. Her diverse range of assignments include: Project Executive, Mosul Dam, Iraq, Deputy Director for Business Management for the Gulf Region Division in Iraq; Deputy, Engineer Support Office, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer - US Army, Europe & 7th Army in Heidelberg, Germany; the Balkans Program Manager in support of NATO Peace Keeping missions and serving as a program/project manager working on Everglades Restoration and the Central and Southern Florida Flood Control Project. Early in her career, she held several positions in the Recreation and Natural Resource Management Programs in St. Louis and Jacksonville Districts. She has been involved in many facets of Civil Works to include the planning, design, construction, and operations & maintenance of Corps projects. Ms. Eller started with the Corps in the Cooperative Education Program as Park Ranger in 1992. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, kayaking, and working out. She is a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.
