Corps awards $7.36 million for work in two Utah military posts

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded five construction contracts during the last week of September for facilities improvements and maintenance work at Dugway Proving Grounds and the U.S. Army Reserve Command in Ogden, both located in Utah.

The contracts, totaling $7,364,929, are as follows:

Schoonmaker Electro Mechanical Inc. of Ogden, Utah, was awarded more than $440,000 Sept. 29 for the repair of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system, and the replacement of insulation and motors at Dugway Proving Grounds.

Schoonmaker Electro Mechanical Inc. was also awarded more than $516,000 Sept. 29 for the replacement of boilers in three buildings at Dugway Proving Grounds.

AU’ Authum Ki Inc. of Chandler, Ariz., was awarded more than $4.61 million Sept. 30 for the renovation of a law enforcement building at Dugway Proving Grounds.

Zumwalt Construction Inc. of Fresno, Calif., was awarded more than $619,000 Sept. 27 for improvements to a facility at the Army Reserve Command in Ogden.

Raveco/E-C JV LLC. of Layton, Utah, was awarded more than $1.16 million Sept. 27 for parking repairs at the Army Reserve Command in Ogden.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District provides planning, engineering, project management, environmental restoration and construction services to military and civilian customers in parts of eight western states, including California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming.
