Public Notices

A public notice is the primary method the Corps uses to advise interested parties of a proposed activity for which a Department of the Army permit is being sought. The Corps solicits comments and information to evaluate the probable impacts of the proposed activity on the public interest. Public notices are also used to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance, or permit procedures.

Public Notices issued by the Sacramento District are posted on this page and can be found on the Corps’ Regulatory Request System (RRS). Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals who signed up to receive our public notices.  Comments, which are due by the expiration date of the public notice, should be submitted through the RRS. Only comments submitted through the RRS, by email, or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted. Hard copy comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    Ose Properties, Inc. has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 18.42 acres of Waters of the U.S., consisting of 4.65 acres of irrigation canals and 13.77 acres of ditches, for the development of approximately 595 acres (2,945 units) for low density residential, 165 acres (965 units) for active adult residential, 117 acres (948 units) for medium density residential, 52 acres (656 units) for medium-high density residential, and 82 acres (2,225 units) for high density residential, plus additional high density residential units in mixed use areas.     Leading Tech Development has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and/or work in approximately 2.72 acres of waters of the United States to construct a five-unit commercial development. The approximately 4.72-acre project site is located along State Highway 91, at the northwest corner of the intersection of 1100 South and 1100 West, Latitude 41.487229°, Longitude -112.036266°, Brigham City, Box Elder County, Utah, and can be seen on the Willard USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2004-50019, Public Notice of Permit Application, Salt Lake City International Airport Terminal Redevelopment, Salt Lake County, UT

    Expiration date: 11/1/2025

    Salt Lake City International Airport has applied for a permit to discharge approximately 465,500 cubic yards of fill material in waters of the U.S. for the construction of the South End-Around Taxiway, and dedicated parking and security screening facility for airport employees and tenants. These activities would result in permanent impacts to 23.64 acres of wetlands, 4.40 acres of ponds, 17.95 acres (9,654 linear feet) of the North Point Canal, and 16.34 acres (6,163 linear feet) of the Surplus Canal. The approximately 280 acre project site is located at the Wingpointe Golf Course at 100 North 3700 West at Latitude 40.769964 and Longitude -111.979921: in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.
