Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-2011-00409, Vernal, Uintah County, UT

    Expiration date: 3/13/2015

    Vernal Regional Airport has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 1.67 acres of wetlands and 3,372 linear feet of jurisdictional channels to relocate and expand the airport runway. The 360-acre site is located in Sections 25 and 36, Township 4 South, Range 21 East, Salt Lake Meridian, Latitude 40.4444°, Longitude -109.51377°, Vernal, Uintah County, Utah.

  • SPK-2005-00485 - Proposed Placer County In-Lieu Fee Program

    Expiration date: 4/9/2015

    Placer County proposes to establish an In-Lieu Fee Program that would include approximately 212,000 acres of western Placer County, including portions of the following 8-digit Hydrologic Unit Codes (HUCs): Upper Bear (18020126), Upper Coon-Upper Auburn (18020161), North Fork American (18020128), and Lower American (18020111).

  • SPK-2015-00049, Garden City, Rich County, UT

    Expiration date: 3/27/2015

    Town of Garden City has applied for a permit to temporarily impact approximately 374-acres of lake bed and permanently impact 0.06-acres of palustrine emergent wetland. The 515-acre site is located along the western side of Bear Lake , Sections 21 and 28, Township 14 North, Range 5 East, Salt Lake Meridian, Latitude 41.94641°, Longitude -111.38570°, Garden City, Rich County, Utah, and can be seen on the UT-Garden City USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2014-00187, Emergency Drought Barriers

    Expiration date: 3/30/2015

    The comment period end date has been extended to March 30, 2015. The California Department of Water Resources has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 3.89 acres (0.75 acre permanent and 3.15 acres temporary) of waters of the United States to construct three temporary salinity barriers. Proposed barriers would be located in Sutter Slough, approximately 1.25 miles downstream of the Sacramento River, Steamboat Slough, approximately 0.95 miles downstream of the Sacramento River, and False River, approximately 0.4 miles east of the San Joaquin River.

    Expiration date: 3/25/2015

    The Telluride Medical Center has applied for a permit to place fill material in approximately 0.447 acre of waters of the United States to construct a medical facility. This project is located in the Town of Mountain Village, north of The Town Hall Market and south of the Gondola Parking Garage, at Lot 1003r-1, Latitude 37.9329°, Longitude -107.8559°, Town of Mountain Village, San Miguel County, Colorado, and can be seen on the CO-TELLURIDE USGS Topographic Quadrangle.
