Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    Newport Pacific Land Co., LLC has applied for a permit to discharge fill material in approximately 6.26 acres of waters of the United States to construct a mixed-use residential housing and commercial development. The approximately 979-acre project site is located on tributaries to Thomas Creek and Steamboat Creek, near center coordinates of Latitude 39.4639°, Longitude 119.7356°, Reno, Washoe County, Nevada, and can be seen on the Steamboat USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2019-00899, Public Notice of Permit Application, Delta Conveyance, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Contra Costa, and Alameda Counties, California

    The California Department of Water Resources (applicant) has applied for a permit to place dredged and fill material and/or work in waters of the U.S., resulting in permanent impacts to approximately 247.44 acres of waters, temporarily impacts to 87.17 acres of waters, and subsurface crossings under 16.88 acres of navigable waters. The applicant would construct two water intakes and setback levees along the Sacramento River, 14 underground waterway crossings, including the Stockton Deep Water Ship Channel (SDWSC), thirteen tunnel shafts, a barge landing in the SDWSC, construction of south forebay facilities and connection to the existing State Water Project (SWP) Banks Intake Canal. The approximately 4,565-acre project site is located in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Delta), starting along the east bank of the Sacramento river at approximately latitude 38.38531°, longitude -121.51519°, and continuing south approximately 45 miles, to the existing south Delta pumping facilities at latitude 37.81358°, longitude -121.60311°, within Sacramento, San Joaquin, Contra Costa, and Alameda Counties, California.

    Valley Children's Hospital has applied for a permit to place fill material into approximately 1.05 acres of waters of the United States to construct infrastructure to support the Valley Children’s Hospital Complex. The approximately 120.0-acre project site is located near the San Joaquin River just west of State Route 41, in Sections 16, 17, 19, and 20, Township 12 South, Range 20 East, MDB&M, Latitude 36.88197°, Longitude -119.81054°, Madera County, California, and can be seen on the Fresno North USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

    ASB Southport II, LLC has applied for a permit to discharge dredged or fill material in approximately 5.51 acres of waters of the United States for the diversion and modification of existing drainage ditches and canals into a series of linear pond features, which will serve as storm drainage facilities for existing and future development. The project site is located between the Sacramento River Deep Water Ship Channel and the Sacramento River, in the southern portion of West Sacramento, Yolo County, California.
