On Thursday, November 4, 2021, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District will begin improvements to the Pioneer Express Trail from the south side of the Beals Point entrance road south to the American River Bike Trail. Once improvements are complete, the district will make similar improvements to the nearby Beals Point to Granite Bay multi-use trail from the north side of the Beals Point entrance road to Granite Bay.

USACE awards construction contract for Tule River Basin Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a $26 million construction contract May 29 to Central Environmental, Inc., of Anchorage, Alaska, to relocate Tule River Road and widen the existing spillway near the Schafer Dam in Porterville, California.
