      <description>On April 17, 2026, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (Corps), completed a Record of Decision (ROD) for the Sites Reservoir Project. The ROD may be found at https://www.spk.usace.army.mil/Missions/Regulatory/Permitting/Environmental-Impact-Statements/ 

The ROD follows the issuance of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s Final Environmental Impact Statement (Final EIS) in November 2023. The ROD documents the Corps’ evaluation under the National Environmental Policy Act and informs the Corps’ approach to any future permit evaluations for the project. The ROD does not authorize construction or constitute a Department of the Army permit decision.

      <description>On January 8, 2026, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) published a final agency action in the Federal Register (91 FR 768) announcing the reissuance of 56 existing nationwide permits (NWPs) and one new NWP. As such, the South Pacific Division has approved the final regional conditions for the 2026 NWPs in California, Nevada, and Utah. These regional conditions are identical to the regional conditions for the 2021 NWPs, except for new general 401 water quality certification conditions applicable to the 2026 NWPs. These final 2026 NWP regional conditions will cover all 57 NWPs, and take effect on March 15, 2026, and will expire on March 15, 2031.&lt;br/&gt;
