Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

SPK-2000-00696, Head of Old River Temporary Barrier project, San Joaquin County, CA - 10/30/2017: The Department of Water Resources has applied for a permit to place fill material and work in approximately 0.44 acres of waters of the United States to continue to construct the Head of Old River Temporary Barrier for the next five years (2018-2022). This project is located on Old River near the divergence from the San Joaquin River, in Section 3, Township 1 S, Range 6 E, near the City of Lathrop in San Joaquin County, California.

SPK-2001-00121, South Delta Temporary Barriers project (TBP), San Joaquin County, CA - 10/27/2017: State of California Department of Water Resources has applied for a permit to place or fill material and work in approximately 1.48 acres of waters of the United States to construct three temporary water control structures. The three separate temporary barriers are proposed at the following locations: Middle River (MR) barrier is located at Latitude 37.8857°, Longitude -121.4822°, San Joaquin County, California. Old River at Tracy (ORT) barrier is located at Latitude 37.8103°, Longitude -121.5428°, San Joaquin County, California. Grant Line Canal (GLC) barrier is located at Latitude 37.8078°, Longitude -121.3307°, San Joaquin County, California.

Final Regional General Permit 37 for Stream Stabilization Projects in Colorado - 10/24/2017: The District Engineers for the Albuquerque, Omaha and Sacramento Districts of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) hereby issue Regional General Permit (RGP) 37 for Stream Stabilization Projects in Colorado. The purpose of this public notice is to notify interested parties of the availability of the permit effective immediately.

SPK 2017-00745, Proposal to accept funds from the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency - 10/24/2017: This Public Notice announces the preliminary intent of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District to accept funds contributed by the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency in order to expedite processing of their regulatory permit and/or 408 permission applications.

The approximately 530-acre project site is located east of Sunrise Boulevard and the Folsom South Canal, and north of Jackson Road (Highway 16), Latitude 38.54732°, Longitude -121.21500°, Rancho Cordova, Sacramento County, California and can be seen on the Buffalo Creek USGS Topographic Quadrangle.
