Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

SPK-2000-00696 - San Joaquin County, CA - 11/30/2012: The Department of Water Resources has applied for a permit to place fill material and work in approximately 0.44 acres of waters of the United States to continue to construct the Head of Old River Temporary Barrier for the next five years (2013-2017). This project is located on Old River near the divergence from the San Joaquin River, in Section 3, Township 1 S, Range 6 E, near the City of Lathrop in San Joaquin County, California.

SPK-2001-00121 - San Joaquin County, CA - 11/30/2012: California Department of Water Resources has applied for a permit to place fill material and work in approximately 1.99 acres of waters of the United States to continue to construct the Temporary Barriers project for the next five years (2013 through 2017). This project sites are located on Old River, Middle River and Grant Line Canal, in Section 36, Township 1 N, Range 4 E, Section 33, Township 1 S, Range 4 E, and Section 29, Township 1 S, Range 5 E, MDB&M, respectively, San Joaquin County, California.

SPK-2011-00253-Garfield County, CO - 11/26/2012: The City of Rifle and applicant Mr. Dick Deussen have applied for a permit to place fill material in approximately 1.197 acres of waters of the United States, including wetlands to construct a regional water purification facility. The State of Colorado-Water Quality Control Division is acting as the lead federal agency for this action. The project site is located east of the City of Rifle and north of Interstate 70 and State Highway 6, within Section 15, Township 6 S, Range 93 W, Sixth Principal Meridian, Latitude 39.5301°, Longitude -107.7655°, Garfield County, Colorado.

SPK-2011-00873 - Fresno and Madera Counties, California - 11/14/2012: U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and work in waters of the United States to construct a new Sack Dam, a new fish ladder within Arroyo Canal, bank stabilization, remove the existing Sack Dam, and do construction within Poso Canal. This work will result in the permanent fill of 1.09 acres of waters of the United States and temporary impacts to 3.62 acres of the United States. This project is located in the San Joaquin River, Arroyo Canal, and Poso Canal at Sack Dam in Section 12, Township 11 South, Range 13 East, MDB&M, in Fresno and Madera Counties, California.
