Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

Mailing lists are categorized by county and state. For instructions to be added to a Public Notice notification list, see https://www.spk.usace.army.mil/Missions/Regulatory/Permitting/Request-for-Public-Notice-Notification/.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, will hold a Utah Regulatory Program Workshop on Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm in the Auditorium at the South Branch-Davis County Library located in Bountiful, Utah at 725 South Main Street. The Auditorium is located on the lower level and is accessible by elevator or stairs. Limited parking spaces are available in the library parking lot. However, the library is located adjacent to the Bountiful City Offices complex and a large open parking area is accessible from the street about 20 feet south of the library entrance.

The March 31st workshop is planned for archaeologists, architectural historians, and others who prepare/review Section 106 information for submission to the Corps but is open to all interested parties, including Tribal representatives, the regulated public, organizations, and federal, state, and local agencies. We anticipate representatives from the Utah State Historic Preservation Office will attend. Originally established as the “Regulatory Information Forum” in 2006, Regulatory Program Workshops are held periodically to provide the public information about Corps permit requirements and updates on program execution in the Sacramento District.

There is no charge for the workshop but space is limited to 90 people. To register for the workshop, please email Ms. Kathleen Anderson at kathleen.anderson@usace.army.mil with subject line reading “Utah Regulatory Program Workshop.” Be sure to include your name, organization name, email address and telephone number in the body of the message. Your email should arrive by March 30th. Unfortunately, due to limited space, those who do not pre-register may be turned away.
