Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, Durango Regulatory Office will hold a Regulatory Program Workshop on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the San Juan Public Lands Center.

The workshop will address the Corps’ regulatory authority and jurisdiction. The main focus will be on the Corps’ preconstruction notification (PCN) requirements for activities under the Nationwide Permit Program and Regional General Permits. PCN requirements for both NWPs and RGPs applicable within southwest Colorado will be discussed, along with guidelines to facilitate an efficient review process.

There is no charge for the workshop but space is limited to 35 people. If space becomes limited we will restrict the workshop to no more than two people attending per organization. Register for the workshop by emailing Ms. Kara Hellige at kara.a.hellige@usace.army.mil with the subject line reading “Regulatory Program Workshop” and your name, organization name, email and telephone number in the body of the message. Your email should be received by January 2, 2015. If you signed up for the workshop and later find you are unable to attend, please notify Ms. Hellige as soon as possible so that another may attend.
