Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

Public Notice Announcing the Final 2021 Nationwide Permit (NWP) Regional Conditions for the State of Colorado, including Navajo Nation lands.

On January 13, 2021, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) published the notice in the Federal Register announcing the reissuance of 12 existing nationwide permits (NWPs), general conditions, and definitions with some modifications. The Corps also issued four new NWPs, one new general condition, and five new definitions. The 2021 NWPs will go into effect on March 15, 2021 and will expire on March 15, 2026.

The remaining 40 NWPs and one additional new NWP that were included in the proposed rule published on September 15, 2020 are not being issued at this time. These 40 NWPs, including their 2017 regional conditions, will remain in effect until their March 18, 2022 expiration date.
