Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • PK-2011-00467, Proposed Regional General Permit X and Proposed In-Lieu Fee Program for Butte Regional Conservation Plan (BRCP) Covered Activities

    Expiration date: 12/14/2015

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) proposes to issue a Regional General Permit for activities covered by the Butte Regional Conservation Plan (BRCP) that result in the discharge of dredged or fill material into waters of the U.S. The proposed RGP would apply only to BRCP Covered Activities, as set forth in Sections 2.2 through 2.5 of the BRCP. The Butte County Association of Governments (BCAG) also proposes to establish an In-Lieu Fee Program (ILF Program) that would cover the BRCP Plan Area and provide compensatory mitigation for activities authorized by Section 404 of the CWA.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) has received a request to extend the comment period for the Public Notice for the Cypress Preserve residential development project. To allow a complete review and facilitate informed comments the Corps will extend the comment period 30 days beyond the original end date for comments.   • SPK-2012-00179, Sandy City, Salt Lake County, UT

    Expiration date: 11/23/2015

    Sandy City Corporation has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately permanent impacts to 0.12 acres of riparian wetland, 0.74 acres of emergent wetland and 750 linear feet of stream, and temporary impacts to 0.02 acres of riparian in or adjacent to Dry Creek to construct the Sandy City Dry Creek Project. The approximately 7.6-acre site is located along and adjacent to Centennial Parkway within Section 13, Township 3 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Meridian, Latitude 40.56°, Longitude -111.89°, Sandy City, Salt Lake County, Utah.

    Richland Developers, Inc., has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 20.78 acres of waters of the United States to construct a mixed-use development. This approximately 980-acre project is located south of the Lincoln Bypass (Higway 65), west of Nelson Road, north of Moore Road, and west of South Dowd Road, in Sections 13, 23, and 24, Township 12 North, Range 6 East, and Sections 18, 19, and 30, Township 12 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, Latitude 38.87764° North, Longitude 121.35720° West, in the City of Lincoln, Placer County, California.

  • SPK-1997-00652, Revisions to RGP 8 for Emergency Actions

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps), is issuing revisions to Regional General Permit 8 (RGP) for Emergency Actions, for the purpose of errata correction and clarification. RGP 8 authorizes fill and excavation activities in waters of the United States for necessary repair and protection measures associated with an emergency situation. This notice is to inform interested parties of the revisions to the text of RGP 8.
