    Leadership Sacramento turns Corps planner into community leader

    Kim Carsell, a planner with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District, is now a graduate of the Sacramento Metro Chamber’s Leadership Sacramento program and helped complete its largest-ever community service project: building an amphitheater for Sacramento educational non-profit Soil Born Farms.
  • In-house design helps transform California military post

    Since 2008, the Sacramento District has all but transformed the Presidio of Monterey, recently overseeing construction on three general instruction buildings for the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. At the close of 2012, construction continues on yet another general instruction building and design for new facilities is nearing completion.
