Army Corps issues permit decision on second phase of Southeast Connector

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District issued a permit decision April 15 to the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County, Nev., to construct phase two of the Southeast Connector project between Reno and Sparks.

Corps’ chief of engineers signs off on plan to reduce Truckee River flood risk

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Truckee River Flood Management Authority are closer to moving forward with a $280.8 million plan to reduce flood risk along the Truckee River after Corps Commanding General Lt. Gen. Thomas P. Bostick signed off on the project April 11 at Corps headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Truckee Meadows final reports available for public review

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District is scheduled to begin a 30-day public review period Jan. 17, following the release of its final general reevaluation report and environmental impact statement for the Truckee Meadows Flood Control Project.

Corps’ Truckee Meadows flood project nears final Corps approval

Helping prevent a repeat of the 1997 record flooding in Reno, Nev., has been the focus of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District’s Truckee Meadows Flood Control Project ever since that devastation. Now the district’s recommended plan is a big step closer to final Corps approval.

Truckee Meadows flood study draft documents now available for public review

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District released the draft general re-evaluation report and draft environmental impact statement for the Truckee Meadows flood control project for public review May 24, officially opening the 45-day public comment period.
