    Due to construction associated with the Folsom Dam Raise Project, vehicle access to the North Granite Bay areas including Beeks Bight, Dotons Point and Oak Beach will be closed at Folsom Dam Dike 1 until approximately the end of January 2024.

  • Sacramento District projects receive ASCE awards

    Two Sacramento area projects were recognized for their excellence during an awards dinner as part of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Region 9 and San Francisco Section’s annual infrastructure symposium April 22 in San Francisco. The Sacramento District took home two prizes amongst 21 categories of California projects including 2021 ASCE Region 9 Project of the Year and Flood Management Project of the Year.
  • State Park trails near Folsom Lake to close for improvements

    On Thursday, November 4, 2021, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District will begin improvements to the Pioneer Express Trail from the south side of the Beals Point entrance road south to the American River Bike Trail. Once improvements are complete, the district will make similar improvements to the nearby Beals Point to Granite Bay multi-use trail from the north side of the Beals Point entrance road to Granite Bay.

    Representatives of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation signed the 2018 revision of the Water Control Manual for Folsom Dam and Lake, during a signing event June 12 at the dam.
