    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today it will continue its support of President Obama’s initiative Every Kid in a Park pass program, which officially begins its second year today. Launched last year, the initiative gives fourth grade students and their families free access to federal lands and waters as well as some state parks for a full school year.

  • Experience the great outdoors during “Every Kid in a Park” recreation initiative

    President Obama, with the support of the Federal Interagency Council on Outdoor Recreation to include the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, announced the start of a new initiative to give every child in the United States the chance to explore and learn about America’s great outdoors. The Every Kid in a Park initiative will provide all fourth grade students and their families with free admission to more than 2,000 federally-managed sites nationwide for a full year.
