  • Corps extends comment period for Martis Creek Lake master plan update

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District has extended the public comment period for the draft Martis Creek master plan update and accompanying environmental assessment by two weeks, meaning comments can now be submitted for consideration until Jan. 3, 2015.
  • Corps parks invite current military, veterans and their families for a day at the park

    Current and former U.S. armed forces members and their families are offered a free day in any Corps park on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. USACE began offering this recognition in 2006.

    Recreation areas, including many popular waterside campgrounds, are re-opening at the 10 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District parks as the federal government resumes normal operations today – in plenty of time for the upcoming weekend.

    Officials at Black Butte Lake park have closed Observation Point Road to vehicle traffic during repairs to erosion damage caused by recent rain storms. Black Butte Lake Park, near Orland, is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District.
