Army Corps awards $543,000 for renovations at Defense Distribution Center Tracy

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a $543,000 contract Sept. 25 to Hal Hays Construction, Inc. of Riverside to perform building renovations at Defense Distribution Center Tracy.

The project will renovate restrooms and the janitor’s closet and construct an entrance enclosure and a secure room.

The Defense Distribution Center Tracy is responsible for receiving, storing and shipping materials in support of America’s Armed Forces around the world.

Hal Hays Construction is a designated small business under the U.S. Small Business Administration’s business size regulations. The federal government sets aside certain contract bid opportunities exclusively for small businesses.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District provides planning, engineering, project management, environmental restoration and construction services to military and civilian customers in parts of eight western states, including California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming.
