SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District today awarded a $5 million contract for renovation work at Sierra Army Depot in Herlong to Eclipse Business Group of Barstow.

“This is a five-year contract to provide electrical repairs in buildings at Sierra Depot on an as-needed basis,” said Sacramento District contract specialist Maj. Dominic Tanglao. “Work will start just as soon as Sierra Depot lets us know that something needs fixing.”

The indefinite delivery indefinite quantity, or IDIQ, contract allows for a contractor to provide services, work or construction on an as-needed basis over time up to a specified dollar limit.

Eclipse Business Group is a U.S. Small Business 8(a)-designated, minority-owned small business. The Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program is designed to help small, disadvantaged businesses compete for federal contracts.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District provides planning, engineering, project management, environmental restoration and construction services to military and civilian customers in parts of eight western states, including California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming.
